Heritage Festival - the Arts & Crafts

The centerpiece of Newfane Heritage Festival is the "tent city" which springs up on the Newfane Common on Columbus Weekend, as 90+ artists, and craft people display and sell their creative efforts.

Like the many volunteers, they are also some of the friendliest people in New England. Just a sampling ...

Heritage Festival - the Friendliest People

Newfane Heritage Festival is an Arts & Craft show, plus an apple pie *crisp lover's delight. From beautiful creations by talented artists and crafts people to the Flea Tent which is a bargain hunter's dream, there are treats and temptations for all ages. Heritage Festival is put on by Newfane Congregational Church, and provides significant financial support for the church's ministry and service to the Newfane community. For 43 years on Columbus Weekend, Heritage Festival has turned the Newfane Common into a mecca for tourists and locals.

This year on Columbus Weekend, the Fall Foliage was brilliant, the October weather was near perfect, and Heritage Festival was a wonderful success. The entire festival - planning, set-up, cooking, serving, clean-up, take down - is done by volunteers.

We begin our brief "look back" by acknowledging a few of the many volunteers who make Heritage Festival a success year after year. They are some of the friendliest people in all of New England ...

Thank you, Volunteers!!
